Notable Chapman Stick Player — Sean Malone

Image via Wikipedia Sean Malone first came to national attention as the bassist for the band Cynic, and on bass and Chapman Stick published a CD known as ‘Gordian Knot’. Somewhere in the realm of rock, metal, and prog. And later his ‘Emergent’ CD received rave reviews as well.
Part of the success is due to the stellar lineup. On Emergent, he enlisted top-rank musicians Bill Bruford and Dean Reinert for percussion, and Jim Matheos, Paul Masvidal, Steve Hackett, and Jason Gobel on guitar. Malone held down bass and Chapman Stick duty.
Outstanding. And, it is mild. Oops- that’s ‘wild.’ And, it is wild.
